Since August 2010, GeoViet Consulting continues to support DANIDA-MOC SDU Component "Environmentally Sustainable Development in Poor Urban Areas" to implement "Data surveying, collecting and building the national Web-based GIS database for management of urban infrastructures and industrial zones - piloted for 5 cities in the Cuu Long River Delta namely Ca Mau, Rach Gia, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre and My Tho”...

In January 2010, GeoViet Consulting has developed the Web-based Database for Investment in Rural Water Supply and Sanitation sector with online data collection and webmapping functions to support to the RWSSP CU in coordinating partners efforts in the sector.

In November 2009, within the framework of the DANIDA-MOC SDU Component "Environmentally Sustainable Development in Poor Urban Areas", GeoViet Consulting has completed the building and transferring to respective provincial DOCs and City People Committees 03 Comprehensive / Integrated GIS databases for urban environmental management in 3 selected urban centers of Viet Tri City, Phu Ly City and Dien Chau Town.

In October 2009, GeoViet Consulting has deployed the Forest Fire Early Warning system for operation by the Forest Protection Department (FPD). This web-based information system - developed by GeoViet Consulting - routinely provides daily warning based on meteorological conditions in forms of list of categorized risk areas and online maps.

Since February 2008, GeoViet Consulting supports the DANIDA-MOC SDU Component "Environmentally Sustainable Development in Poor Urban Areas" in applying GIS for urban environmental planning and management in 4 target provinces of Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Ha Nam and Nghe An provinces and 3 selected urban centers of Viet Tri City, Phu Ly City and Dien Chau Town.

Since May 2007, GeoViet Consulting started to provide technical support to the Forest Protection Department (FPD) in operating their near-realtime automatic MODIS fire information system. The Automatic Hotspots Mapper - developed by GeoViet Consulting - is routinely uploading onto the FPD Website fire information on forest maps and maintaining fire database for subsequent query and statistical analysis. The Vietnam FireWatch system is now in operation, which has online interactive forest fire database, interactive Web mapping and includes more fire data from NOAA-x and FY-1b satellite...

During April - October 2008, GeoViet Consulting collaborated with eE+E Environmental Engineering & Ecology, Bochum University providing GIS support for Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) of the Dong Nai river basin within the framework of the IWRM-Vietnam research project..

GeoViet is currently supporting the Foreign Economic Relation Department, MPI in developing and maintaining a Web-based Tool for monitoring the Hanoi Core Statement and Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness.

GeoViet supported the RSC in providing GIS and ENVI Remote Sensing training within the framework of T5 training for DUS B agencies (under the Vietnam's ENRMS programme) and annual professional trainings for MONRE staff on "Application of remote sensing in natural resources and environmental management".

GeoViet Consulting developed the first version of LiMAP - an Flash-based Light and Interactive MAPping on-line - piloted for the Nam Mau commune forest map (Bac Kan province) and currently uploaded on our Web-mapping demo page. The LiMAP is potentially applicable for distributed geographic information applications either standalone or as part of an on-line GIS application. It's concept and architecture was presented at the International Symposium Hanoi GeoEngineering 2007 on 22 November 2007.

GeoViet supported the CBUEPM in conducting professional trainings on "GIS for urban environmental planning and management" for MOC staff, HAU staff and Thai Nguyen DOC staff.
