Vietnam FireWatch
The Vietnam FireWatch is an online interactive system developed for near-realtime automatic monitoring of forest fire over Vietnam detected from MODIS and NOAA/AVHRR satellite data. The current version 2.0 (2008) - now in operation at the FPD Website (MARD) - is routinely generating forest fire hotspots, extracting fire information and fire locations and uploading on interactive Web. The system include the online map applications, fire database, query and statistical analysis to help the management of forest fire in Vietnam. |

Web-based Spatial DBMS

The National Urban Information System (NUIS) is a web-based spatial DBMS - designed to manage and distribute online Vietnam's urban information / urban indicators (e.g., city profile, urban infrastructures, urban environment, population, urban poverty, governance and management...). The prototype of the NUIS system with data analysis, report generation and mapping functions are currently test-run within LAN of the Department for Management of Urban Development (MOC) |
The National Environmental Health Database (NEHD) is designed to manage and provide comprehensive and reliable environment health (EH) information to relevant agencies for various management tasks at national and sub-national levels. With data entry, data consolidation, data management, report generation and mapping functions, the NEHD system maintain the set of EH indicators to present the changing states of development dynamics, pressures, exposures and impacts on human health. The current version with piloted data of the Phu Tho and Nam Dinh provinces is operated on intranet environment of Center for Consultancy and Environmental Technology (VEPA, MONRE). |

The Web-based Forest Maps DBMS is designed to support the management of forest resources at commune level. The system with database, statistical reporting and mapping functions is being pilot implemented for the Lai Chau province and will be posted soon.
Web-based Monitoring Tool

The Web-based HCS/PD Monitoring Tools for Vietnam - an on-line information management application for monitoring of the Hanoi Core Statement and Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness. The Tools - now operated by the Foreign Economic Relations Department (MPI) - are designed to administer the harmonized HCS/PD monitoring surveys on-line for active donors and selected government agencies. With data entry, response consolidation, report compilation and progress tracking functions, the Tools provide a means for maintaining the monitoring web-based database (at portfolio indicators level) and disseminating the progress in implementing HCS/PD to development partners, CSOs and the public. |
WebGIS
| The LiMAP (Light and Interactive MAPping on-line) is the GeoViet Consulting solutions for WebGIS. Based on combination of Adobe Flash technology and XML schema, LiMAP maintains direct and flexible geodatabase access, while GIS Services capacity such as visualization and spatial querying were retained. As an extra-compact, efficient and inexpensive solution, LiMAP is potentially applicable for distributed geographic information applications either standalone or as part of an on-line GIS application. |

The LiMAP 1.0 (2007) was piloted for the Nam Mau commune forest map (Bac Kan province) and currently uploaded on our Web-mapping demo page. The integration into a Web-based management system for community-level maps DBMS of the Lai Chau province is currently under development.
The LiMAP 2.0 (2008) was developed and incorporated as the mapping application for the Vietnam FireWatch system. The new version is being developed for mapping of forest fire forecast and for developing mapping, which will be posted soon.
GIS-based Software
 ArcGIS-based solutions for
data integration and management of urban construction planning and decision support system: are being developed;
MapInfo-based solution for management of wastewater discharge sources into the Day and Nhue rivers (former Ha Tay province) including tools for data entry, data integration, query and visualization;
Auto Hotspots Mapper: GeoViet's solution to routinely overlaying forest fire hotspots on district-level administrative map and extracting detailed fire locations and associated information for uploading onto the FPD Website.

Comprehensive ArcGIS-based GIS databases for urban environmental planning and management for Thai Nguyen City, Viet Tri City, Phu Ly City and Dien Chau Townlet.
